La Casella Antico Feudo di Campagna

I went to La Casella as part of an international retreat. The family and team looked after all our needs. They even went the extra mile to ensure we had the best experience possible. Went there as strangers and left there and forever friends. Thank you everyone for your generosity, hospitality and professionalism.

We stayed here for 2 weeks. 9 people from my family in two units. Yes, the road is bumpy and long but to us, that was not a big deal. The property is out in the country. We saw deer regularly, wild boars, pheasants, herons and my husband even saw a badger. There are horses, dogs and cats the live on the property. We enjoyed all the wildlife sightings and the pets. Dinner was great every night. Virginia is who helped us a lot as she speaks English. She and her family were lovely and helpful with activity suggestions, showing us how to use the laundry etc. On the last night, they prepared a dinner in the woods for about 30 people. We all made the short hike up, white lights were strung up in the trees, one very long table was a downer with candles etc and great music was playing. We sat with people from all over the world and had a magical time. If you are looking for a modern, city-type place, this resort is not for you. The road is bumpy and long, you may find a spider in your room, the smaller pool/fountain we saw was not in order though the big pool was nice, BUT this place has character and gives an experience you won't find anywhere else. It is also convenient to many places. We took the train to Florence, drove to the Amalfi Coast for a few days and came back and there are more local towns to explore. I recommend this interesting and pretty location.

Unfortunately my expectations were not met, because of lack of comfort and sometimes safety. The room was poorly equipped (no refrigerator, neither HVAC), the shower didn't worked properly and the windows hadn't proper screen to prevent flies and mosquito to enter into the room

What a hidden gem and great venue. We spent 4 days at a big family & friends wedding at this beautiful location. Virginia and her mum Stefania were amazing, always with a smile on their face. A true Italian experience with the amazing Al fresco dining either in one of the courtyards, authentic dining room or in a beautiful forest meadow. Thank you for a great weekend ❤️

If you're looking for the perfect getaway, this is the place! This beautiful resort tucked away in the countryside is a real gem, we are so happy that we found La Casella! The staff was so welcoming, hospitality beyond compare! Dinners in the courtyard were some of the best cusine we had in all of our travels through Italy. Loved our equestrian team that took us for a trail ride! We took day trips to Sienna, Perugia, and through wine country, and then relaxed poolside at the resort. We can't wait to visit again!

The staff at La Casella, especially Virginia and her mother were so welcoming to me as a single traveller, inviting me to join their family and friends at their table when I booked a dinner there. The dinner itself was expertly prepared and presented, and with 4 courses and plenty of wine for only 40 Euros, it was excellent value. I had a one bedroom unit which was roomy and stayed relatively cool despite the very high temperatures outside (though a fan at night might have been helpful!) You must be prepared to travel down a very potholed and stony unpaved road for about 10 or 15 minutes to reach the property, which is the main drawback. (While I was there. however, they started a major job of filling in a lot of the potholes so it may be better now!). The resort is well situated for visiting lakes and mountains, as well as hill towns and larger towns such as Orvieto and Todi. There is a train station very close by, with free parking from which you can take direct trains to Rome, Arezzo and Florence.The views from the resort are astounding.

i set out nervously never having stayed half board anywhere before but the welcome we received and the special care taken by Virginia and all the resort family made our stay wonderfully memorable. it was our 40th wedding anniversary and flowers, a cake and champagne were arranged as a surprise by my husband and Virginia. The meals were delicious, excellent value also every care was taken in advising us re places to go and things to see. The resort itself is so peaceful and homelike. we have never felt such a natural sense of belonging at a resort before. We cannot rate our stay highly enough, you must go!!!

Nice and clean accomodation very far from everything. It is about 60 min from Orvieto and 45 min "white road" which means a very bad, rocky, wet road. You can choose between holes and rocks which damage the bottom of your car or brushes which damage the sides of your car. Terrible!! Never again!! This accomodation is overpriced and if you will go out even buy a food you will damage your car. You can eat in the restourant which is very overpriced too.

Staff at La Cosella went way beyond what could be expected in order to be helpful and hospitable. They are uniquely gifted to give the guests a “part of the family” experience. Food in the half board was exceptional - did not break any stereotypes re exquisite Italian cooking. Rough road leading to the resort was passable and functioned to underline the rural nature of the resort
